The performance continues with exciting acts like fire dances, a dramatic Caucasian knife dance, and a thrilling drum show.
Some of the most beloved Turkish folk dances include “Çayda Çıra” from Central Anatolia, where young women in gold-embroidered kaftans dance in the dark holding lit candles. The “Silifke Yoğurdu” from the South Mediterranean features dancers clacking wooden spoons above their heads. “Şeyh Şamil” from Eastern Turkey dramatizes the legend of a Caucasian hero, while “Kılıç Kalkan” from the Northwest is a powerful dance performed with swords and shields.
